Well this will be the final race report of the year and what a year it has been.
Unfortunately the final week of racing was an extremely quiet one in terms of racing, although our members were out taking part in parkruns (those that hadn’t been cancelled) and trail training runs. There will also be plenty of social training runs taking place over the Christmas period.
Indeed it was two of our juniors that took part in the racing this weekend with sisters, Evie and Emily Wade taking part in the RunNation 1k Santa Dash at Hamsterley Forest. Evie was first overall and Emily followed in 4th place.
For anyone interested in joining the club, you can simply turn up at one of our sessions all of which start from the Oakleaf Complex in Newton Aycliffe. Monday night is beginners run at 6.30p.m., Tuesday is endurance/speed session from 7.00 p.m., and Thursday is a track session and this takes place at Shildon Track.
