Training Information

Group of people standing on concrete.We have training sessions for all abilities from complete beginners to marathon runners:

Monday evening: This is a friendly, supportive session for anyone who wants to have a go, whether you have never run before, are returning from injury or just want to get back into running after a break. The sessions are a maximum of three miles and tailored to your ability – walk or run, 1 mile or three, its just about enjoying it.Meet at the Oak Leaf Sports Complex at 6.20pm. Free of charge.

Tuesday evening: These sessions commence at the Oak Leaf Sports Complex, Newton Aycliffe,at 7pm. A variety of training sessions tailored for beginners to advanced.

Wednesday evening: Informal 5 mile recovery run.

Thursday evening: Track training session at Shildon Sunnydale Leisure Centre Track at 6:15pm. A variety of training sessions tailored for beginners to advanced.

Sunday morning: Informal long training runs are sometimes held on Sunday mornings and these are communicated through email, Facebook (members only) or announced at the training sessions.

All of the coaches give up their free time to coach club members with detailed risk assessments of all coaching activities having been undertaken to ensure the safety of all participants.
