We start this week’s report with a look back at the Ultra North event which took place on Saturday, 5 June 2021. The event comprised two races, one covering 25K, and the other an Ultra 55K option, both of which started and finished in Derwenthaugh Park.
Richard TONGE braved the 25K race, completing his run in 3:40:43. Our resident ‘Mileage Monster’, Richie JOHNSON took on the 55K option, crossing the line in 7:38:01.
Last week we reported on performances at the Run Cumbria Solway Half Marathon, which took place on 6 June 2021, however we have subsequently been informed that John SURTEES, John FIRBY and Richard CAMPBELL also claimed the Male First Team prize at the race.
On Wednesday, 9 June 2021, David STOTHARD ran the Kiplin Hall and Gardens Evening Trail 10K Race in Richmond. Set within the gardens and estate of a beautiful Jacobean historic house, David completed his off-road run in 59:26.2.
Unfortunately, at the time of going to print, a number of results were still unavailable, including the Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10K, which took place in extremely hot conditions, however we will hopefully catch-up next week.
